Results of OASPA Board of Directors Election 2019

Members of the OASPA Board of Directors serve for a term of 3 years and this September three of the current OASPA Board Members reach the end of their term of service.

In keeping with our annual election process, OASPA member organisations were invited to nominate a representative for consideration as a candidate this year.

OASPA’s By Laws require that the board is appointed by the membership. As previously, details of the candidates for 2019 were circulated to members who were then asked to choose three from the list of nominees and to vote for them in no particular order.

Having now finalised the results of the voting, we can announce that seats will go to Dominic Mitchell (DOAJ), Jennifer McLennan (eLife) and Emma Wilson (Royal Society of Chemistry).  We are looking forward to having them join us at our conference in September when their three year term will begin.

OASPA expresses heartfelt thanks to our three outgoing Board Members, Pete Binfield (PeerJ), Lars Bjørnshauge (DOAJ) and Mark Patterson (eLife) who have all played a significant role in OASPA’s development over the duration of their time on the board.

We are very grateful to all of those who took part in the election this year.
