This subsidised fee is $2500 for BiO and $4250 for DMM (plus VAT if applicable). Complete or partial waivers are considered on a case-by-case basis, providing support for authors from developing countries or in genuine financial hardship. Hybrid model journals (Dev, JCS and JEB) offer authors the option of making the full text version of their article immediately accessible upon publication, through payment of a subsidised Open Access fee ($5400 for Dev, JCS and JEB; plus VAT if applicable). Peer Review Policy
All journals published by the Company operate single-anonymised peer review. Development, JCS, JEB and DMM have adopted a system of cross-referee commenting, whereby referees have a 48 hour window to allow them to comment on each others’ reports before the editor makes a decision.  Development, JCS and Bio have an open system of peer review, whereby reviewer reports, editor decision letters and author response to reviewers can be published alongside each Research article (authors can elect to opt out). BiO has a published rubric. (https://journals.biologists.com/bio/pages/rubric) outlining how articles will be evaluated. All journals integrated with the ORCID and Clarivate (previously Publons) Reviewer Recognition Services.
