Copyright and Licensing Policy	Göttingen University Press asks authors and editors to transfer only those rights needed for the hybrid publishing model (print along with open access). For print edition exclusive rights are transferred, however combined with a guarantee that third parties’ requests for reprint are handled as liberal as possible. For open access versions the press has moved to a default Creative Commons License cc-by 4.0 scheme. Exceptions from the rule either stem from former contracts or have to be negotiated individually with the press.

Complaint Policy	As the press focuses on book publishing (app. 60 projects per year) requiring close contact to authors and editors throughout the entire publishing process, there is no specific complaint policy in place other than to deal with each complaint asap and carefully.

Publication Charge Policy	Our publishing decisions do not rest on potential commercial success but on scientific relevance. Authors and editors therefore need to contribute financially to each publication project. The financial contribution consists of a publication charge with discounts on the publication charge for students, PhD students and projects of existing series. Our publication charge includes author support for manuscript preparation, formal quality assurance, artwork production, online deployment, title registration and marketing. Authors and editors will need to bear the costs of the first print run.

Initiatives	Within our organisation we run a repository for green OA (http://goedoc.uni-goettingen.de/goescholar/), an OA repository for electronic dissertation, the COAR backoffice (https://www.coar-repositories.org/), several projects on OA such as OpenAIRE2020 and hosting of the OA information platform open-access.net
